Terms of Service for Enchanting Tails
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the grooming services provided by Enchanting Tails Dog Grooming. By completing and signing this form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not proceed with our services.
1. Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information
By signing/initialing this contract, pet owners verify that their pets are current on their rabies vaccination that is required by law. Proof of vaccination or current titer testing shall be provided to Enchanting Tails upon request, along with current veterinarian information. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration with veterinary clearance. It is strongly recommended that your pet is also current on their core vaccinations for safety purposes such as
2. Matting Policy (if applicable)
Dogs with matted coats require extra attention. Pets CANNOT be groomed if matts are left in the coat. If matting is minimal and the dog responds well, we may demat for $2 per minute of dematting. However, severe matting may require shaving to remove the mats, as it is the least painful and stressful method. If dematting is preferred, the pet's tolerance is priority and will require dematting sessions be no more than 1 hour per visit. Please note that there is a greater risk of injury during the grooming process for severely matted dogs, and Enchanting Tails will not be held responsible for any such injuries, including aftereffects.
3. Nervous or Dangerous Pets
We strive to provide a stress-free and safe grooming experience for all pets. However, it is essential that owners inform Enchanting Tails if their pet bites, has bitten, or displays aggression towards people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. We may use muzzles if necessary. Enchanting Tails reserves the right to refuse or stop services for pets at any time before or during the grooming process. A special handling fee may be charged for the extra care required to groom anxious and dangerous pets.
4. Health Conditions & Senior Pets
Grooming may uncover hidden health conditions or aggravate existing ones. Senior pets and those with health conditions are more susceptible to injury, and we will groom them for cleanliness and comfort in styles that minimize stress. By signing/initialing, you give Enchanting Tails permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet if deemed necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you first before taking your pet to your authorized veterinarian or the nearest available veterinarian. You verify that you have informed Enchanting Tails of any medical/health conditions your pet may have and that your pet is free of transmittable diseases.
5. Accidents
While we take every precaution to groom your pet safely and carefully, accidents can happen due to natural movements of dogs. Grooming equipment, despite our caution, can cause injuries such as cuts, nicks, scratches, quicked nails, or brush burns. In the event of an accident, the pet's owner will be contacted immediately. By signing/initialing, you give Enchanting Tails permission to seek veterinary care for your pet in case of an emergency. You agree that the expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner.
6. Late Pick-up Policy
We do not provide boarding services. If you are late in picking up your pet, a charge of $1.00 per minute will be applied after a 45-minute grace period following our contact with the owner for pick-up.
7. No-shows/Cancellations
No-shows and last-minute cancellations greatly impact our business. As we operate by appointment, another client could have taken your slot if we had known in advance. Please provide us with a 24-hour notice if you cannot make it to your appointment to avoid a cancellation/no-show fee of 50% of the services that would have been provided. Clients arriving 15 minutes late risk losing their appointment or having it rescheduled without notice.
8. Photography
Photographs may be taken of your pet during grooming and used for advertising and social media purposes.
9. Essential Oils
Essential oils will only be used with the informed consent of the dog owner or guardian. The use of essential oils is optional, and clients will receive education about the specific essential oils used, their intended benefits, and potential risks or sensitivities. The application of essential oils will be based on the dog's overall health and any pre-existing medical conditions. However, dogs with known allergies, sensitivities, or other health concerns may not be eligible for essential oil application.
Prior to using essential oils on a dog for the first time, patch tests will be conducted to identify any adverse reactions or sensitivities. It is important to note that Enchanting Tails cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects caused by the use of essential oils.
10. Customer Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your dog's grooming experience, please notify us within 48 hours. We will make our best efforts to resolve the situation and provide a better grooming experience in the future.
11. Release of Liability
By completing and signing this form, you release Enchanting Tails and all associated parties from any liabilities for injuries to yourself, your dog, or any other property that may arise from the services or products provided by Enchanting Tails. You confirm that you have read and agree to the policies of Enchanting Tails Pet Grooming Salon.
